Telegram Terms & Channel Safety

🛡️ Protecting Our Student Channel Telegram actively terminates channels that violate its terms or receive mass abuse reports. Help us keep UCPM online by adhering to these safety standards:
🚨 Activities That Can Get the Channel Banned:
  • ✕ Mass-Reportable Doxxing: Sharing private phone numbers, IC numbers, matric IDs, residential room addresses, or unconsented photos triggers Telegram report cascades that cause automated permanent channel bans.
  • ✕ DMCA & Copyright Strikes: Distributing commercial e-textbooks, paywalled test-banks, cracked software, or leaked official exam papers. Telegram strictly complies with automated copyright take-downs.
  • ✕ Spam, Bot Links & Scams: Shortened links (bit.ly), MLM/get-rich-quick promotions, crypto spam, or unsolicited channel invite links get caught in Telegram's automated spam filters.
  • ✕ Drugs & Illegal Substances: Zero tolerance for narcotics, cannabis, ketum, illicit vape pods (e.g., mushroom/magic vape), or prescription drug sales. Violates Telegram TOS, Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and UTeM Disciplinary Code.
  • ✕ Explicit or Non-Consensual Media: Any NSFW content, suggestive media taken without consent, or revenge material is strictly prohibited under Telegram TOS and Section 233 of the Malaysian CMA 1998.
🔐 Using Services with Google:
  • ✦ Google Sign-In Privacy: Google OAuth is used solely for anti-bot verification. Your Google name, email address, and profile are never sent to Telegram or publicly revealed.
  • ✦ Google Drive Links: When sharing study notes via Google Drive, set permissions to 'Anyone with the link can view'. Ensure no executable (.exe/.apk) files or third-party personal data are included.
  • ✦ Student Email Safety: Avoid using your official @student.utem.edu.my account for public file distribution, as institutional Google Workspace domains are monitored under university IT policies.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (UTeM Student FAQ)

How do I qualify for the Dean's List (Anugerah Dekan) at UTeM? Students must achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.50 in a single regular semester while carrying a minimum registered credit load (normally 12 credit hours), without receiving a failing grade (F) or unexcused withdrawal (TD) in any subject.
What is the difference between Kampus Induk and Kampus Teknologi? Kampus Induk (Durian Tunggal) houses central administration, Chancellery, Pusat Kesihatan Universiti, Perpustakaan Laman Hikmah, FKE, FKM, and residential colleges. Kampus Teknologi (Ayer Keroh) is the academic base for the Faculty of Information & Communication Technology (FTMK) and technological engineering disciplines. Free campus shuttle buses run continuously between the two campuses during class days.
What happens if my CGPA falls below 2.00? A student whose CGPA drops below 2.00 is placed on Academic Probation (Kedudukan Bersyarat / KS). While on KS, you are restricted to a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester. Failing to raise your CGPA to 2.00 or above within the permitted probationary duration will result in Academic Dismissal (Kedudukan Gagal / KG).
